David John Wustner, 71, of Dublin, PA and husband of Patricia Soderberg Wustner, died unexpectedly on April 20, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia on May 9, 1949, the son of the late William and Marie Drager Wustner.
Dave graduated from Abington High School in Abington, PA. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Firefighter in the 410th Civil Engineering Squadron of the Strategic Air Command from 1968-1972. He completed his active duty service at the rank of Sergeant. While stationed at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Gwinn, Michigan he met Patricia Soderberg and they were married in November 1969.
Throughout his life, Dave was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends. He was a hot rod enthusiast who enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching NASCAR. He was also a member of the Freedom Riders MC where he joined his passions for motorcycles and patriotism.
Dave worked as a truck driver for many years, and was proud of his experiences that ranged from long-haul tractor-trailers to concrete trucks to dump trucks. Dave enjoyed many jobs and approached all of them with enthusiasm and dedication. After he retired from this grueling career, he held several jobs in hospitality and food service industries where he enjoyed helping others.
Dave was a proud patriot and dedicated to family. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sons Jason and Jesse; daughters-in-law Wendy and Angie; and grandchildren Hannah, Lindsay and Nathan.
A veterans memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 promptly at 1:30 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. Please arrive to the cemetery no later then 1:15 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
