Obituary for Dorothy A. Riess

Dorothy A. Riess passed away at Attleboro Nursing & Rehab Center in Langorne, PA on Thursday, July 30, 2020. She was 68 years old.

Born in Bristol, PA to Howard and Elizabeth Cade, Dorothy lived in Bristol, PA before moving to Newportville, PA.

She loved spending her time quilting, sewing, and gardening. She also was a fan of photography and camping. Dorothy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and also attended Bucks County Community College. Dorothy worked at New Jersey Education Association NJEA in Trenton, NJ for twenty years and retired.

Dorothy was the loving wife of 32 years to Michael W. Riess; cherished mother and step mother of Darrell W. Brenner (Jennifer), Brent Brenner (Melissa Lane) and step-mother of Michael W. Riess II (Cindy); beloved sister of Howard Cade (Regina); caring aunt of Howard Cade IV; devoted grandmother Berkely Brenner and Joshua Riess.

Dorothy fought a battle with Cancer at Fox Chase Cancer Center for many years.

A gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Fox Chase Cancer Center would be greatly appreciated.

We LOVE AND MISS YOU every moment of everyday. You are so beautiful and loving. Your laugh was contagious and lifted everyone up. So many of those special memories with ur laughter and love, bring joy and and now pain. I shared some wedding pics of u so ppl can see the real Dot. On a day you said you felt beautiful. You had a beautiful garden decorating your hair. These smiles are etched in my mind and bring me happiness. Ty for being a mother from the day we met. Xoxo
