Obituary

Obituary for Frank J. Harvey

Harvey J. Frank of Doylestown, PA passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 28, 2019. He was 63.

Born in Portsmouth, VA and raised in Hampton, VA to the late Stephen and Margarette (Searles) Frank. Harvey resided in Hampton, VA before moving to Doylestown, PA 10 years ago.

For the last 10 years, I lived in the same small town as my Brother Harvey. A lot changes when you speak to and see someone so regularly. Living so close to him changed many of my views about the big things in life. He loved his family and his country. His conservative views often put him in interesting discussions as he was deeply concerned about the future of his family and the families of America. He was the physically the strongest man ounce for ounce I have ever met, working hours in the gym during his younger years to win another USA arm wrestling championship. During the last 5 years my brother Harvey was in a wheelchair most of the time. Even though he was in constant pain, he rarely complained. I will remember Harvey as a sweet, gentle and kind person. Loving life and his family. Showing kindness to those he loved or those he would meet. We love you and miss you our brother.

He was the devoted father of Joseph Frank and Nicholas Frank (Megan); dear brother of Joan, Tom, Mark, Martha and the late Stephanie, Edward, Deborah, Nancy and Roger; loving grandfather of Bayleigh and Brandie Frank.

Services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, Doylestown, PA.

Much of Harvey's life he was a "mans-man", physically strong and dedicated to weight lifting and physical fitness; he was a specimen of a man, handsome and powerful. He will be remembered as a man who loved his brothers and sisters, children, and his two grandchildren. Harvey took a special interest in our two sisters, adult children, and their families and reveled in their families. Harvey, "H" as we called him in later years, was a loving and caring person, passionate person and will be missed by those who knew him. His surviving brothers, Tom and Mark, and sisters Joanie and Martha spoke multiple times a week and will miss the frequent and loving conversations. Brother "H", we love and miss you and know we will meet again.
