Ronald T. Smith of Warrington, PA passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was 85.

Born in Meriden, CT to the late Harold and Mae Dovik Smith, Ron resided in East Greenville, PA before moving to Warrington, PA in 1982.

Ron received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Connecticut, a Master’s Degree in English from Lehigh University, and multiple Certifications in Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He was formerly employed as a Middle School English Teacher with the North Penn School District; a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War; enjoyed fishing, wildlife, reading, writing, spending time with family and friends at the cottage in Fortescue and meeting with his Veteran Buddies at the Warrington Wegman’s; and was a very active and generous man throughout his life.

He was the beloved husband of 36 years to Isabelle (Jakaitis) Smith; devoted father of Jennifer Smith, Heidi (Michael) Heino, and Thomas (Maurissa) Smith; dear brother of Harriet Bell and late husband Al, Karen Smith and late husband Andre; loving grandfather of Devon and Zakk Brandt; cherished uncle of Linda, Michael, Allen, Kim and Craig.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

A service with military honors will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA on Friday, November 2nd at 11:30 am.
