Russ was an avid sports fan who had a remarkable recall of players names, positions, & stats. He was also well informed on local, national, and international events. Russ was easy & interesting to talk with. Our ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) group will especially miss him. Farewell my friend !

I Remember wrestle to be a very kind and down to earth father-in-law to my sister. Every holiday I would see him he would always give me a nice warm welcome. It’s sad to know that he’s gone

I remember watching a football game with Glenn and “Big Russ.” Within ten minutes of talking to him I felt like I knew him my whole life. He was that kind of guy - big, quiet, solid, steady, and completely comfortable in himself. He commanded respect instantly - a man’s man, no question about it. He would fit in anywhere he was, and in any age group. It didn’t matter - that cool, quiet comfort and relaxed smile transcended age. He was loved and highly respected, and his legacy is one of the best men I have ever known. I always thought there would be another Eagles game. Rest In Peace, Big Russ, until we see you again.
