“That man is a success –
who has lived well,
laughed often and loved much;
who has gained the respect of intelligent men
and the love of children;
who has filled his niche
and accomplished his task;
who leaves the world better
than he found it;
who has never lacked appreciation of earth’s beauty
or failed to express it.;
who looked for the best in others
and gave the best he had.”

My sincere condolences go out to the Obert-thorn family. I know you will sorely miss such a wonderful presence in your lives. One thing you can gain comfort from, is the hope present in the bible that we can look forward to: “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) We also have the hope found in Luke 14:14, "For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous ones." The resurrection this verse talks about will give us the opportunity to see our lost loved ones again on Earth. I know it will be a joyous time when you can reunite with Tom!
