Obituary for Victoria Margaret Smith

A dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on November 6th, 2020. Vicky was 80 years old. It was a peaceful departure under hospice care at her sister’s home in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She was lovingly surrounded by family at the time of her passing.

Vicky was a real “Yorkshire Lass”. Born in Leeds and living in Cookridge, Headingly, Pool in Wharfedale and Guiseley before meeting her future husband Lowell, a retired US Army Colonel. They married in 2003 and lived in Harrogate, where they were both avid members of the MG Motor Club, before moving to the United States in 2007 and settling in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. They shared a love of world travel and Formula One and NASCAR racing, frequently travelling internationally to events. They lived together very happily until Lowell’s passing in March 2019. Now they are together again.

Vicky leaves behind many family and friends who loved her dearly. Surviving her are her daughter Sarah Pennington and son Jonathan Kirk as well as granddaughters Sophie and Haley Kirk. Also her sister, Elizabeth Ivers, and stepchildren Karen Davis, Eric Smith and Brett Smith.

The family is grateful to the staff of the Doylestown Health Hospice and Visiting Angels who provided excellent care for Vicky. Also to the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home which made her final arrangements.

Vicky will be very much missed by all of us.
